Frequently asked questions
Does the timer keep running when the screen is off?
Yes. DeepFocus runs as a foreground service so the timer stays accurate in the background and wakes the screen when a session ends.
The alert didn't ring or came late.
Make sure notifications are allowed for DeepFocus (Android 13+ asks for this). Some phone makers stop background apps aggressively; exempting DeepFocus from battery optimisation in Android Settings › Apps › DeepFocus › Battery usually fixes it.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no account and no login. Your sessions stay on your device.
Is DeepFocus free?
Yes. DeepFocus is free and financed by ads. Optional in-app purchases are available.
Reporting a bug
Please include your phone model, Android version and the app version (shown in Android Settings › Apps › DeepFocus), plus the steps that lead to the problem. A screenshot helps a lot.
Deleting your data
DeepFocus stores your data only on your device. To delete everything, clear the app's storage in Android Settings › Apps › DeepFocus › Storage, or uninstall the app. Details are in the privacy policy.
